So the first step in designing your deck to get a realistic picture of what you want it to look like.  Measure the area you have for a deck.  Then decide if you want multi-levels.  Sometimes adding a stair case and another level can optimize your deck space. Finally chose what type of railing you would like to use.

Once you have your design and layout complete, you need to choose material…Wood or composite are the two most popular choices. Wood needs to be treated every few years; while composite is basically maintenance free.  On the other hand composite is more expensive.

Now it’s time for the framing.  This is where your vision comes to life!
